After just getting in about 9 dogs from the "commercial" breeder in KS, we have 5 dogs in NC that need to be rehomed/fostered. Unlike the previous dogs, these have all been kept in loving families and are being given up for various family reasons. One is a long-term foster in Asheville. His owner is having surgery and will need time to recuperate, but will have the dog returned to him. Three are in Salisbury, along 85, just North of Concord/Charlotte. One is somewhere in NW NC. Not much detail on that one.
I'm kinda throwing this out there. We need help with transport on these dogs. Getting them to Atlanta area would help. We also need more foster homes in the AL, SC, GA, TN, and NC areas. We especially need foster homes in SC, as we currently have none.
Becoming a foster home means filling out an application, found here: http://www.papillonclub.org/rescue/foster_app.html, and having a home check done. So, yeah, they did come to the house and met the critters and all that.
If anyone can help, or knows of someone who would be interested in fostering or transporting, please e-mail me at wezlart (at) gmail (dot) com. I can then put you in touch with the Regional Coordinator.

This one I've been kicking around for awhile. It ended up larger than an ACEO (3.5x4.75)and I couldn't decide if I should crop it or leave it as is. I finally just listed it, with leaving it up to the buyer if they want it cropped to standard ACEO size. I'm a wimp, I know...

This piece turned out 6x6. I really hate the way the scan won't pick up all the little details, because I feel it's one of my best of the RJ Raccoons. She has been a font of inspiration. This is the most frequent of her poses, anyway! I think it always amazes her that I'm not out to hurt her, and the other animals come up and let me pet them (the cats, usually). Here's the linkie-thing to the auction. I really do find myself less inclined to put art up on eBay, these days. Maybe it's partial burn-out, but it just doesn't seem worth it. I keep planning on trying out Etsy. I have two or three card pages worth of art available, that just aren't going on eBay. I'm also less inclined to sell these days, until I can get a high quality printer. I'd love to have good prints of sold pieces, if only for my own amusement.

I'm a bit bummed. I received the rejection letter from Dragon*con this year. Several artists did, something was said about space being a premium this year due to construction, and other stuff. Eh, oh well. I spent quite a bit of time on fantasy-related artwork, most of which I haven't posted, to provide current work for the jury. I guess I can quit hanging on to them, and turn back to doing wildlife and whatever strikes my fancy. So, whew! The critters are providing inspiration. I hope to start posting new stuff soon.

I took down the Weasel card auction. I'm keeping it. Bouncy posed so well for it. It was done before he started showing signs and I think it captured his silly spirit.

Bouncy passed away tonight, in my arms.
Well, two of the first frames sold right off the bat. Made me feel good, but I can't help but wonder, though... Only thing is, the humidity is so high, they're still a little sticky from the glaze.
Also caught two typos in my art auctions. I hate typos, anyway, but it shows my brainspace lately. Bouncy Wezl is passing away. He'll go tomorrow to be put to sleep, most likely. He's old, unfortunately. He started crashing fast, I gave him some time to respond to meds, but is not improving and has started having seizures. Just... he's my last wezl. He's been a perpetual baby his whole life. He's the last of the rescues. I can't really say how many ferrets I've had pass away over the years. After Stoney died of insulinoma, I said I'd never be ferretless again. But, I'm tired. They all get insulinoma at one point or another, and it's so sad.

Yay! It took just over a month to ship. 6 kimono, 5 obi, 2 haori! The obi are all gorgeous. Two of the kimono are okay, the rest... Very nice!
